🏆 Three Podiums Success at Sugar City Titles and Whitsundays Mini Enduro: A Weekend to Remember!🔥

🏆 Three Podiums Success at Sugar City Titles and Whitsundays Mini Enduro: A Weekend to Remember!🔥

What a weekend! The 2025 Sugar City Titles in Mackay delivered thrilling racing and a podium finish in not one, but TWO classes! The event boasted record nominations, and the competition was fierce—but that only made the podiums even sweeter.

It was Nates first time racing the senior category in Mackay, and he was eager to make an impact. To up the ante, 2 classes were entered, Senior Medium and Senior Light classes, bringing on a double header of excitement!

🥈Senior Medium: Pushing Through the Field

The Senior Medium class featured a massive grid for the north of 17 karts, and the racing was intense right from the start.  Qualifying 4th, and despite the crowded field, Nate worked his way through the heats and ended up with a solid 2nd place finish in the final!  It was a hard-fought race, but Nate and the team managed to stay on top of the strategy, and couldn’t have been happier with the result.

🥉Senior Light: A Hard-Fought 3rd Place

The Senior Light class proved to be another tough battle. Nate qualified on the front row against 8 others, and during the heats he started coasting away in the lead. He had a great start in the final, putting him a straight length distance on 2nd in the first lap.  But, our carby had other plans, and threw him a curveball mid-race. As frustrating as it was, that’s the nature of racing—things don’t always go to plan. But we powered through, and despite the setbacks, I managed to secure 3rd place on the podium! It wasn’t the easiest race, but he stayed focused and got the job done.

🥇 Whitsundays Motorsport Club Mini Enduro: From Struggles to Success

But the racing didn’t stop there. On Sunday morning, Nate teamed up with our team mate Zac “Attack” Tyson again for the Whitsundays Motorsport Club Mini Enduro.  It wasn’t exactly smooth sailing—two starter motor failures had us scrambling, and we swapping engines, not once, not twice but three times! But in true racing spirit, the boys pushed through and managed a few practice laps before heading into qualifying.  In a one-lap shoot-out, Nate ended up snagging pole position, which set the stage for a fantastic finish.  The plan was simple: drive fast, smart, smooth and keep it on the track and finally bring it home. And that’s exactly what they did, finishing in 1st place!

💥A Weekend of Victory: 3 Podiums, 2 Race Meets, 1 Awesome Team🔥

To sum it up: it was an busy, character building weekend.  Two race meets, two tracks, two classes, and three podiums!  This meeting was because of the good people at Trekk Advisory, we couldn’t have done it them or without the amazing support from my sponsors and my team.
